We would like to have teams of about 50 people each week in order to staff our tutoring program. When smaller groups come, we try to book two teams to make the program run well.

Morning Devotions
We have morning devotions as a group on Monday-Thursday mornings for about half an hour. Students will receive a devotional booklet that they will go through and journal in throughout the week. The devotional will have follow-up questions that leaders may use for the evening debriefing sessions.
The morning sessions are led by New City Fellowship staff and are vignettes of Sonship teaching and its application (one of the core Biblical teachings that God has adopted us into His family through Jesus Christ and sealed us in Him by His Spirit). During the devotional time we will sing (bring your own music and instruments)!, pray (corporately and individually), listen to each other, and journal.

The Buildings
Gym Building
This is where New City Fellowship holds worship services and all adult and youth Sunday School programs. The gym is, of course, used as a gym throughout the week. The only area of this building that you will have access to is the gym itself, which will be available for recreational use after 3:30 during the weekdays.
Cafeteria Building
This large building houses The Freedom School and the kitchen and dining areas as well as overflow dormitory space for visitors. You will be enjoying your meals in the spacious dining area of the Cafeteria building on the first floor. Note: The kitchen is off limits to visitors at all times!
Administration Building
This is where you will be staying during your time here. We have adapted the dormitory space for housing short-term visitors with some areas also set aside for lounging and recreation. You will have access to the first floor for meetings and recreation and the second floor for sleeping and quiet study.
Women
Large room on the southeast end of the 2nd floor; there is a large bathroom between the roomsMen
Large room on the southwest end of the 2nd floor; bathroom at top of south stairwell; extra showers on the 3rd floorThe women's area is off-limits to men and vice-versa!
Any areas of the buildings not mentioned previously are to be considered off-limits at all times.
Parking
Please park your vehicles in the northernmost parking lot, NOT in the circular drive west of the Administration building.
Building Safety
In case of FIRE:
Exit out of your sleeping areas and directly down the stairs and out. Men, you can also go down the fire escape out of your dorm room in the southwest corner.
In case of a TORNADO:,br /> Take either the north or south stairwell immediately to the basement central hallway.
Security
We have not had any problems to date (except with stolen bikes), but play it smart. Doors are locked after 11:00, but your leader will have a key if you need to go out. Check with your leaders before leaving the property, especially after dark, and then go only in groups or two or more.
Meals
Breakfast
Continental style in the front room of the Cafeteria building, with 1 or 2 people designated as kitchen helpers to lay out refrigerated items
Lunch
Made at breakfast and carried to the work sites use plastic crates
Dinner
Buffet style in the main dining area
The kitchen is off-limits at all times.
Snacks
You may feel free to stock the refrigerator in the recreation room on the north end of the 1st floor in the Administration building with snacks which you supply. The following stores and restaurants are close by:
- Schnucks in U. City - East on Olive Blvd. for about 2 miles, on the right
- Schnucks in Overland Plaza - West on Page Blvd., on the left just past I-170 (about 1 mile)
- Papa John's, McDonald's, & 7-11 - all on Olive just east of 82nd Blvd.
- Multiple others - in and around Overland Plaza on Page Blvd.
Cleanup
We will divide you into teams with one team responsible each day for picking up after breakfast, wiping off tables, and sweeping the floor in the breakfast room. Likewise, after supper, tables need to be wiped off and the floor of the cafeteria swept and mopped. Tables are to be wiped with a soap solution that includes a small bit of bleach. Mops and buckets are located in the janitor's closet near the kitchen.
- If you have a spill, please clean it up ASAP. Cleaning supplies are available on each floor in the janitor's closets.
- Keep your space tidy! At the end of the week you will do a major cleaning.
- Empty wastebaskets when full. Trash bags should be thrown into the dumpster at the south end of the Administration building, beside the garage.
- When you see trash lying around, pick it up and throw it away.
- Cans and certain kinds of bottles can be placed into special containers to be recycled.
Telephone
There is NOT a telephone on campus for you to use. We ask that you use personal cell phones to make calls and to communicate with each other throughout the week.
Sports & Recreation
- The gym is available after 3:30 PM.
- The soccer field is located in the northwest corner of the property, and is available as weather and ground conditions permit.
- A table is set up for ping pong in the recreation room on the north end of the 1st floor in the Administration building. The first ball is free; replacements are 25 cents each.
- Fogerty Park is located just north of our property, across the street. It has a walking trail, a playground, and a baseball field.
- Please return all equipment to its respective storage area when finished.
