Michael's Story

In the past couple of years we have gotten to know a ten year old boy named Michael. He lives in a small apartment with his mom, and sisters, and brothers in one of the most at-risk areas of the city. Outside of his bedroom window it is not at all uncommon for a gunfight to break out between drug dealers who are not old enough to vote. His mom is a single mom who works very hard to provide for the family. Often when she leaves for work she has the kids padlock the door, hoping that will keep them safe. Although Michael is very bright, he attends an elementary school that has the worst record in the state of Missouri. Michael is just one of many that we help through the various ministries of Restore St. Louis in order to show mercy and kindness to those who practically need it most.
